About Bison down

The warmth and comfort of Bison Down is unmatched. It can keep you going through the harshest conditions and will keep you tethered to the DNA of our product and the North American Bison.

The beginning

Every year, Bison grow a thick, woolly coat that lets them withstand the harsh winds and cold of winter. Bison shed their winter coats the following spring as they are no longer needed.

We’ve spent three generations raising Bison in Idaho. During that time, we’ve seen firsthand how warm and soft a Bison’s winter coat is, but until now, we couldn’t readily utilize their winter fiber. Thankfully, that’s changed.

We recently launched a new company based on Bison and its natural fiber. We are stewards of the land, and the Bison provide a renewable source of wool. It’s time to share the magnificence and strength of the North American Bison with the world.

The highest standard of quality

We maintain a strict standard of
quality with our products. Every piece of Bison Down apparel is crafted with our consumers in mind. In other words, our products last longer and work better.
