Our socks are knit using a merino wool and bison down yarn, and the blend of that yarn itself is the 80% merino and 20% bison listed on our website. To create a sock that is durable, maintains its shape, and can withstand regular washing and wearing without matting, additional fibers—such as nylon and spandex—must be incorporated. Without these fibers, the socks would not stay up on the leg, provide the proper fit, or offer the longevity our customers expect.
